The titles are; abc London Transport Railways Parts 1 and 11 (1950), abc London Transport Trams and Trolleybuses (1949) and London Transport Buses, Coaches and Trolleybuses 14th Edition (1957). These are exact facsimiles of the original publications including photos and advertisements.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eA striking feature of the two railway titles in particular and the road transport titles to a slightly lesser extent, is that as well as the lists of numbers which one would expect, there is a considerable amount of narrative text. Short histories of the origin and development of all the individual lines which together made up London Transport’s railway network are given. There are lists of depots and headcodes and a variety of other interesting features. The 1949 volume on trams and trolleybuses provides accounts of the various independent companies and borough systems which were eventually amalgamated to form the vast London Transport tramways network. Details of the various classes of trams and trolleybuses which were in service at that time and the depots which housed and maintained them are also given.
