Both freight, parcel and passenger workings are illustrated so that should interest those who also have an interest in rolling stock from these times. This was the time of maroon coaching stock with the introduction of the blue and grey coaches from 1966 onwards.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThere has been much variety in the main line locomotive fleet North of the Border and this book illustrates many of the different classes of locomotives that have worked in Scotland. Some were short lived like the Claytons. Others like the Class 47 can still be seen at work in Scotland on Charter trains occasionally now. This is the period of green locomotives and the early blue liveries which started to appear from 1966.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMany photographers in this period disliked the new Diesels so did not record in colour the early years. This all Colour book is based mainly on the Norman Turnbull collection in the Transport Treasury Archive as thankfully Norman did record many scenes from the 1960s and later.
